  18. Take 1 tbsp Salt
  19. Take Butter chicken sauce
  20. Get 1 liter Neutral tomato sauce ( not the store bought jarred type )
  21. Make ready 500 ml 35 % cream
  22. Take 1/2 cup sweet butter
  23. Make ready 1 cup finely diced white onion
  24. Get 2 tbsp curry paste
  25. Take 2 tbsp Garam masala
  26. Take 1 tbsp sweet paprika or hot

Butter chicken was first created in India just a few decades ago, and was actually born out of a need to re-purpose unsold chicken. For this shortcut version, I'm using quick-cooking boneless, skinless chicken breasts (but feel free to use thighs or a mix of breasts and thighs) and skipping the overnight.   4. Sweat for 5-10 minutes. stir well as to prevent burning. Add tomato sauce then cream. and bring to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat and add chicken. Return to stove and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
