Take 1/2 cup black eyed pea or lobia, soaked in water overnight, boiled,
Get 1 cup oats,
Prepare 3 tbsp mustard oil,
Prepare pinch of rai,
Prepare 6-7 curry patta,
Get 4-5 green chilli chopped finely,
Make ready 2 tbsp chopped spring onion,
Get 1 tomato chopped finely,
Make ready 1/2 tsp haldi powder,
Prepare 1 tsp dhania powder,
Make ready 1/2 tsp garam masala powder,
Take to taste, salt
Prepare 2-3 garlic cloves grated,
Prepare 1 small pc of ginger grated,
Instructions to make Lobia Oats Upma:
Take a wok, add oil, heat it.
Moderate the flame, add rai, let it splutter,
Now add curry patta & green chilli, sauté it for a while.
Add spring onion, stir fry it till translucent.
Add ginger garlic grated, sauté it for a while.
Now add tomato & salt, sauté it till tomato is half done.
Add haldi & dhania powder, stir fry it for a while.
Now add oats, mix it well.
Add garam masala powder, stir it nicely.
Now add lobia, mix it well.
Add water accordingly so as to keep Upma a lil dry.
Lower the flame now, cover it with the lid, cook it till done.
Switch off the flame, open the lid after a while.
Take out in a serving dish, garnish it with chopped dhania patta.
It can be a one pot meal also..
