Hello everybody, it’s John, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to make a distinctive dish, kare-kare. One of my favorites. For mine, I’m gonna make it a bit tasty. This will be really delicious.
Kare-Kare is one of the most favored of recent trending foods in the world. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. They are nice and they look fantastic. Kare-Kare is something that I’ve loved my entire life.
To get started with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook kare-kare using 16 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook that.
The ingredients needed to make Kare-Kare:
Get 1 1/2 kilo ox tail or Short beef ribs. I used beef ribs in these recipe
Get 1 cup unsalted peanut butter
Prepare 1/4 cup ground toasted rice
Prepare 1 red onions (diced)
Get 1 whole garlic (minced)
Get 1/4 cup annatto seeds (soaked in ½ cup boiling water)
Take 2 tbsp brown sugar
Take 5 cups beef stock
Get 5 grams Salt
Get flavored oil (vegetable, canola, etc)
Get ground black pepper
Take Bagoong (fermented shrimp paste)
Take Vegetables Ingredients:
Make ready 4 pcs. eggplant (sliced)
Prepare 2 bundle string beans (sliced)
Prepare 2 bunch Baby Bok Choy
Steps to make Kare-Kare:
In a pot add oil and sauté onion and garlic, once onions turn translucent remove then set it aside.
Now using the same pot add beef ribs then brown all sides.
Add the sauteed onion and garlic back to the pot. Then pour the beef stock and a cup of water into the pot then bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 1.5 hours or until meat is tender (Add water if needed).
Turn of the heat then remove the beef ribs from the pot and leaving all the liquid, set beef ribs aside.
Add sugar, ground toasted rice, peanut butter and water from soaked annatto seeds into the pot then mix thoroughly until it’s even in consistency. Turn on the heat to medium then let it boil.
Once sauce is boiling, turn heat to low then add the beef ribs and simmer for 15 minutes. Season with a dash of salt and freshly ground pepper.
Now cook the vegetables separately by blanching string beans, eggplants and bok choy.
Pour stew on a deep bowl and add cooked vegetables on the side. Serve with bagoong.
